Sunday School
Our children's Sunday School. includes children from JK through Grade 6. All are invited to join us downstairs in the Sunday School room off Immanuel Hall, at 10:30 a.m. When it is Communion worship, we join the rest of the congregation near the end of worship for the sharing of the sacrament.  When it is 'Service of the Word', or 'Worship with the Band', we join the rest of the congregation near the end of worship for a Special Children's Time. 
Our coordinators are Karen Bishop and Kristi Burns.

'Messy Church'
'Messy Church is a monthly get-together for children and their parents and caregivers. There is no cost!  Participants take part in crafts,games, and a light meal.

Confirmation:
All youth in Grade 7 and older are welcome to be part of our two-year programme.  We focus on the promises made at Baptism to help each other grow in faith and life. This past fall and spring we explored 'The New Testament'. This fall, winter, and spring we will learn about what it means to be a Lutheran Christian, as we mark the 500th anniversary of the Reformation..
Next Class:  Nov. 28: 7:15 - 8:30 p.m., in Immanuel Hall.
 
First Communion Class
This is a session for children whose parents desire them to begin receiving Holy Communion.  Call the Office, 344-1926, to register for a class.
 
'Lutheran Women'
All women are invited for discussion and great fellowship. We meet monthly on the third Monday, at 1:30 p.m. in Immanuel Hall. Our new Bible study on the gospels has been compiled by Pastor David.
- Next regular meeting: Nov. 20; Study 3. We will look at the birth narratives.


Conversations on Medical Assistance in Dying
A task force of our national church has prepared this study guide to encourage conversations across the church on the needs of people in times of dying and death, and to recommend revisions to the ELCIC's policy on 'Decisions at the End of Life'.  We will gather to do this Weds. Nov. 22, 29, and Dec. 6, 7:15 - 8:30 p.m., in the sanctuary. For a copy of the study guide see Pastor Matthew, or visit the ELCIC web site.

Luther Village
Luther Village, our synodical camping ministry, is located about a 1/2 hour south of Kenora, on Hwy. 71. See more at www.luthervillage.ca  for a review of the 2017 opportunities for gathering in God's great outdoors.



 
Youth

  • 2018 Canadian Lutheran Anglican Youth Gathering
  • Join youth from across Canada August 15-19 2018 as we meet in Thunder Bay, ON!
    All Our Saviour's youth are invited to participate in this event! The cost is $595, including registration, accommodations and meals. A $100 deposit is required in January.  Fundraising will be done to subsidize the costs of those attending. See Pastor Matthew for details.

  • A bit about the theme: Stories are the diverse threads that God weaves together to form the tapestry of our lives. They can be ancient, personal, intimate, and can help us find meaning and purpose. We gather stories from each other and from our surroundings.

Scouting at Our Saviour's
The 178th Thunder Bay Cubs meet at Our Saviour's on Mondays from 6:30 - 8 p.m.  Also on Monday nights, Scouts and Venturers meet at Lakeview Presbyterian, and Beavers at Westminster United.
